The first international Community of Practice (CoP) for the AdAPPtive project took place online on 11 June 2024, bringing together representatives from all four participating countries. The event highlighted the diversity of professionals involved – from teachers and therapists to researchers and app developers.

Common themes included teacher shortages, digital infrastructure needs, and the importance of inclusive approaches to literacy support. Teachers reported that most learners showed progress and engagement, particularly when apps were easy to use, motivating, and used in shorter, more frequent sessions. Participants viewed CoPs as valuable spaces for reflection, collaboration, and professional growth in the effective use of digital reading tools.
