The 7th Irish Community of Practice took place on 24th January 2025.  It was great to be able to meet up again in person at Ranalagh Educate Together National School.

It was great to meet up again face-to-face.

The teachers were able to share their experiences of using Lexia and discussed the positive impact on their students.  One of the teachers explained how using Lexia had given students an opportunity to explain to their peers that they had dyslexia and could speak about it in a neutral manner.

Different teachers are using Lexia in different ways, with some teachers using it in a whole-class setting, while others were assigning it as homework for students.

‍

Another positive aspect of using Lexia was that it provided precise information on areas in which a student was struggling and the teacher could then focus on that topic. It was also helpful for discussing areas of difficulty at parent-teacher meetings.

‍

The lovely food at the CoP ensured that the after lunch slot of the CoP was productive as well.
